they say that rain on your wedding day means good luck. i’ve always wondered if this was just a nice platitude that others say to anxious brides and grooms who are worried about what the rain might mean for their outdoor ceremony or photos. what i can say for certain though, is that Michelle and Patrick took their rainy wedding and made their own good luck with it.

these two cuties forged ahead with an outdoor ceremony despite the rain and mud, laughing through it all when shoes got stuck and dresses got a bit dirty. honestly, i’m kind of obsessed with them for that. there’s this myth that weddings are perfect, and oftentimes they can be, but a lot of that perfection comes down to the couple. for Michelle and Patrick, perfection meant celebrating their love with one another… and i guarantee you, that was going to happen come rain or shine. in my book that makes them the luckiest people in the world.
