I'm a professional photographer with an energetic passion for life, adventures, and people. While originally from a farm in Kansas, like Dorothy, I flew over the rainbow, and in recent years lived in Pennsylvania where i met my husband, Matthew, and established myself as a full-time wedding and portrait photographer.

Over the years we fell in love with New England, and now both reside in Portland, Maine, and I am excited to continue pursuing my dream of capturing beautiful and compelling images through photography here. Whether I'm shooting weddings, portraits, or something entirely different, I love getting to meet and photograph new people, and to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

When I'm not behind a camera, I'm best described as a tall, nerdy, and easy-going, gay viking. I love exploring the world and everything in it, and I love the people that make this world such a fun and fascinating to live. I also love hammocks, game nights with friends, swordfighting, D&D, classic Nintendo games, hot tea on rainy days, and watching old episodes of Star Trek with my husband, Matthew. I also really like koalas.

My style tends to reflect this, because I'm always looking to tell a story through my work. Whether I'm shooting portraits, a wedding, or an event, I'm constantly looking for those moments that drive the larger narrative of who a person is or what their event means to them.

Bold, candid, fun and most importantly authentic... I want the photos I capture (and the stories I tell through them) to reflect the beauty, diversity, and wonder of life and the world around us.

MY CLIENTS

The clients that tend to work best with me are those who aren't afraid to be themselves. They love life, and more importantly, they love getting to love others.

They care more about good food and good times, than what color the table runners are. They are unapologetically themselves. They don't want their session to feel like a giant production, but rather a time to get together, laugh, dance, and have a great time creating some beautiful images together.

I want my clients to feel relaxed and natural during our photography session together, and my goal is to create an atmosphere where they can feel completely at ease with me. This allows the session to be more about them, and about letting their amazing personalities shine through each image.

i’m a professional photographer with an energetic passion for life, adventures, and people. whether it’s climbing Mount Olympus or exploring small towns with friends, i’m always excited about the beauty of the world around me. while originally from a farm in Kansas, i currently reside just outside New Hope in Bucks County, Pennsylvania where i have been pursuing my dream of capturing beautiful and compelling images through photography.  jumping head first into photography has been a wild ride, but i’ve found that no matter whether i’m shooting weddings, portraits, or something entirely different, i love getting to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me.

when i’m not taking photos, i’m usually found taking long walks through town, drinking coffee, and diving into a good fantasy book. i also love hammocks, game nights with friends, swordfighting, mountains, classic Nintendo games, hot tea on rainy days, any type of pizza, and watching old episodes of Star Trek with my husband, Matthew. i also really like koalas.
