i met Oscar and Maddie while photographing one of my favorite couples last year (link to their beautiful wedding here) and i knew right away that they were going to be so much fun to work with. these two stayed out on that dance floor, and every time i caught them with my camera they were laughing, smiling, and simply having a great time celebrating with friends. i can’t state enough how wonderful and refreshing that is. weddings can sometimes feel like a big production unfortunately. that’s not to say that details or the day aren’t important– they absolutely are, and many come with special significance or symbolism which is absolutely wonderful. but i think that my favorite couples are the ones who just want to be themselves, and who want to just enjoy the celebration and joy of the day. Oscar, Maddie, their families, and their friends did just that– they celebrated and celebrated HARD! (that dance floor of the Ellis Preserve was packed with smiling faces!) and you know what? i loved every authentic, beautiful, messy, quirky, unrehearsed moment of it. congrats to the newlyweds! i hope you enjoy some highlights form their wedding photos below.
