i make no secret of loving small intimate weddings and elopements. don’t get me wrong, i love a good dance floor as well (many a wedding reception have seen my lanky limbs flail to the music– ha!) however, i’ve always enjoyed the intimacy and unique goodness that an elopement can bring. and gosh darn it, do Danielle and Tom deserve a whole lot of goodness.
while these two were originally planning a larger wedding and gathering at Peddlers Village outside New Hope, they like many couples have had to alter their plans due to Covid-19. what i particularly loved about them was that despite these difficult circumstances, they always seemed more concerned with the welfare of those around them– their friends, their family, and yes, even myself as their wedding photographer. it speaks volumes to their characters and just the kind of caring and genuine people Danielle and Tom are.
while the hours were shorter than they had planned, and while the guest list was smaller, these two made a beautiful day with just as much love and goodness as any larger event. i hope these photos do justice to the fact that it’s not the size of wedding that counts, but the amount of love that is shared.
