ELLIE + RAY | WOLFE’S NECK STATE PARK ENGAGEMENT

One of the very first things that my husband and I did when we moved to Maine was to purchase a State Parks pass. There are more than 30 state parks in Maine and they have never disappointed. So when Ellie and Ray suggested Wolfe’s Neck State Park for their fall engagement photos, I was absolutely excited to go and explore it with them. Ray and Ellie are my kind of people– they’re genuine, laidback, fun… and they brought their sweet doggo to be photographed alongside them.

I often tell my couples that they should treat an engagement photo session like a fun date night. What would you do? What would you wear? Where would you go? It could be that you want to do engagement photos in a cute dress and suit while exploring downtown. It could be that you and your love want to do them at home making breakfast and making each other laugh. Heck, I’ve even photographed a couple who cosplayed together and chose to do that for their engagement photos.

For Ellie and Ray though, I think this evening at Wolfe’s Neck State Park was just about perfect. Exploring the woods of Maine with boots on and their (very strong) doggo pulling at the leash to explore even more, I think that we were able to capture something that was not only beautiful, but something that tells the story of this sweet couple. Congratulations, Ellie and Ray, and I am so excited to photograph your wedding next year!
