TRAVERS | FAMILY

Nathan and Kayla Traver have been friends of mine since my first year of college.  my first run in with them was when they tried to recruit me for the college drama club.  Nathan hit me with a fake sword, and while Kayla objected to such brutality towards a complete stranger, i remember thinking to myself, “these are the type of people who could definitely be my friends.”  several years (and two children) later, i still look at Nathan and Kayla as some of my favorite people on the planet.  genuine, happy, loving, and always striving to make a difference in the world, they are just the type of people who fill others with joy.  i like joy and i like them.  even though we now live half a country away from one another, i’m thrilled whenever i get the opportunity to see them when i visit family in Kansas.  i still look at these lovely people with warmth and admiration… because to me they really are superheroes.
