i had the pleasure of meeting Joe and Greg about one year ago, and immediately i knew that their wedding would be a beautiful one. all of us being local to the New Hope and Lambertville areas provided us with a lot in common. in fact, Barley Sheaf, the rustic property where they were married, was quite close to where my husband and i hosted our own wedding reception a few years back. i just knew for a fact that their outdoor summer ceremony was going to be simply lovely.
on the day of their wedding, however, the clouds let loose. this was not a sprinkle. this was not a mist. this was buckets upon buckets of water falling from the sky and drenching everything in sight. when i arrived at Barley Sheaf, most of the rain had abated… and i found Joe and Greg getting ready while wistfully looking outside hoping that they could still have the outdoor ceremony of their dreams. thankfully, they were able to have just that. while trying to tie the perfect bowtie, the clouds parted, the sun came out, and just in time the guests arrived to a beautiful clear and sunlit sky. Joe and Greg were able to have the wedding they’d hoped for with their friends, their family, and their super loving dog (who arrived in a doggie tux!) it was, in the end, a beautiful beautiful day, and i feel so honored to have been a part of hopefully making it even more special for two beautiful and loving individuals.
