sometimes people come crashing into your life, and they change everything. Michael Amman, along with his wife Summer, were without a doubt two such people who took my life and turned it upside down. years ago, in a chance encounter through a good friend, i became introduced to Michael who at the time was living in Bangor, a small town in the Slate Belt of Pennsylvania. i was encouraged to come visit in order to see what he and the small church he led were doing in their community, and i quickly fell in love with the area and its people. a few months later, i relocated myself to the East Coast, and my life has never been the same. while i now reside in New Hope, an hour’s drive from that town and church, i continually find that i’m never too far from its orbit. the friends i met there are like family, and whenever i get the chance, i love to offer my photography for the ones who took my life and turned it upside down for the better.
