when i first visited the East Coast, i fell in love with its geography. i loved that within a short drive i could be climbing a mountain, visiting a beach, or diving into a large city like New York or Philadelphia. i’ll admit that i don’t take advantage of all these opportunities as much as i probably should, especially as a wedding and portrait photographer. that said, i appreciate having clients who will sometimes pull me out of what i’m comfortable with because it actually feeds me with new and exciting inspiration. it’s getting out of my comfort zone that also keeps me growing as an artist and a photographer.
when Caitie and Brian first suggested we photograph their engagement photos in Central Park, i went into the session not sure what to think. i left that day, however, heart full and creativity buzzing excitedly. it didn’t hurt, of course, that Caitie and Brian were also FANTASTIC to work with– these two cuties could make even a difficult day feel brighter. i always loved adventure stories, but adventures don’t happen from the safety of your home. they happen by stepping out, challenging yourself, and coming back to where you started richer for the experience, and having met some amazing people along the way. congratulations, Caitie and Brian, and i can’t wait to share your big day with you two next year!
