ELLIE + RAY | TARRY A WHILE RESORT WEDDING PHOTOS


Fall is my absolute favorite season, and Ellie and Ray’s beautiful wedding at the Tarry A While Resort in Bridgton, Maine felt like the perfect kick off (seconded only by everything pumpkin-flavored!) Driving from Portland, I could see that the leaves hadn’t started changing just yet. That said, the air was crisp and the apple cider was flowing, which made this a decidedly fall experience. Their colorful wedding felt like the right balance of elegant, laid-back, and authentically candid moments. This made photographing their day such a pleasure.

It was so wonderful to see Ellie, Ray, and Otto again (click here for some of their engagement photos) and to be able to meet and celebrate with their families and friends. When I saw Ellie, she gave me the biggest hug and told me that the day felt like it was finally real now that I had arrived. Shortly after their first look, I photographed Ellie and Ray exchanging private vows on the dock, which was an absolute honor to witness. Their wedding ceremony had many in tears (and a few laughs) and I don’t think anything could have gone more perfectly.

Thanks to an absolute A-Team of wedding vendors and professionals (see below) for beautiful designs, florals, food, and a dance floor that did not stop till the very last minute, this wedding was a great start to what I hope will be an even greater fall season.
