KYLE + ROB | BLIND TIGER PORTLAND WEDDING

I’m sure I’ve said it before a hundred times, but getting to photograph any wedding is such an incredible honor. I think that the photographer, maybe more than most other vendors, rides alongside the couple during one of the most special and intimate days of their lives. It’s joyful and fun, but it’s also undeniably special.

Kyle and Rob’s day was no exception. I don’t cry easily or often, but as a gay photographer myself, capturing their ceremony at Portland City Hall often had me welling up with tears. It was powerful, raw, and a testament to love overcoming the hardships this world can sometimes throw at us.

We started and ended our day at the Blind Tiger in Portland, Maine. This beautiful guest house accommodated Rob and Kyle’s guests with the perfect blend of classic and modern taste. It was an intimate reception, but one that was filled with a lot of laughter and joy. With a team of superstar vendors, the wedding was sincerely an amazing experience to witness. In the end though, it’s Kyle and Rob’s love for one another that was the most beautiful part of the day. The love that they share is tangible, authentic, and so very real. This one felt personal for me, and I don’t think I could be more honored or proud to have been a part of capturing it.
