there is something so incredibly magical about autumn. the leaves are brilliant, the orchards are full of apples, and the air is crisp and clean. when Bobby and Lyrisa came to Lambertville to shoot their engagement session, we had what i like to think was a perfect fall day. the setting sun decided to shine so so brightly on these two lovebirds. honestly, there is something so genuine about Bobby and Lyrisa. it’s a strange way to describe anybody, but the impression i got was of the girl and guy next door… warm, friendly, and completely and comfortably sincere in who they were as individuals and as a couple. we got to take a walk along the Delaware Canal Path together, and on the way we talked about what they loved about one another, what their dreams for their wedding was, and (being the season) whether or not they would be visiting any haunted houses for Halloween. we ended our photo shoot at the Lambertville football field and baseball diamond. sports are a big part of Bobby and Lyrisa’s lives, so i was happy to take their photos in a place where they could feel themselves. after all, what’s the point of doing an engagement shoot if you can’t be who you truly are… genuine and totally in love.
