I was so excited when Mara and Henry told me about their wedding plans. They had told me it would be a multicultural experience, with family and guests gathering from all over to celebrate their day at Portland Head Lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The historic charm of this place alongside the scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean have always made this location one of the most beautiful spots around. As a photographer who embraces color in all its beautiful hues and shades, I was both honored and excited when Mara and Henry chose me to capture the moments, memories, and mix of traditions on their day.
As a wedding photographer, my goal is to capture the authenticity of each couple. The wedding was a visual feast, with vibrant colors, genuine emotions, and heartfelt laughs and smiles. Sincerely, Henry and Mara’s laughter and smiles are absolutely contagious, and it is hard not to experience joy simply being with them. The reception at the Woodlands Country Club in Falmouth, Maine was a true celebration of cultural diversity, with a variety of foods and lively music creating an atmosphere of love and celebration. One of my favorite moments and traditions was the Nigerian money dance where Mara and Henry were showered with money thrown into the air by their loved ones.
I always remind my couples that at the end of the day, I can only photograph what I see. Thankfully, it’s hard to miss the admiration, joy, and deep-seated love that these two have for their loved ones and for each other. Congratulations, Mara and Henry!
