REBECCA + JAKE | RIVER WINDS FARM WEDDING

I couldn’t have been happier being a part of Becca and Jake’s big wedding celebration this fall. The leaves were full of color at River Winds Farm And Estate in Saco, Maine, and the air was just crisp enough that a jacket felt optional. More important than these things though, was the sincere depth of love that Jake and Becca have for one another.

During their first look, each was simply blown away by how wonderful each other looked. I always try to give couples as many chances to simply be with one another without direction, because those authentic and unscripted moments can mean so much more. Becca and Jake spent this time hugging, kissing, and simply being in awe of one another.

The ceremony was short and sweet, and I was honored to capture photos of a private vows exchange that the couple had written themselves. After some wedding day portraits (can we get a shout out for Jake’s red velvet jacket) we headed back up to the River Winds patio for dances and speeches. The first dance was sung as a surprise by Jake’s sister and brother-in-law, which made the moment even more touching to behold.

Just in case you didn’t know, I always think it’s such a joy and honor getting to be a wedding photographer. I get to be there for some of the sweetest, most joyful, most lovely moments you can imagine, and Becca and Jake’s wedding was no different. I loved getting to be a part of their day working alongside an absolute star-studded cast of wedding vendors, family, and friends. Thank you Jake and Becca, and a big congratulations to you both!
