RUIQI + MIKE | BARN ON WALNUT HILL WEDDING PHOTOS

I say it all the time, but getting to photograph weddings really is a dream. I get to meet and laugh with fantastic couples, I get to work in some beautiful and scenic places, and I get the opportunity to tell the story of someone’s wedding day by capturing all the smiles, hugs, and moments that made it so special. Ruiqi and Mike’s early fall wedding at The Barn on Walnut Hill was another that checked off all the boxes for me, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite wedding photos with you.

The Barn on Walnut Hill in North Yarmouth, Maine was a venue I had never gotten to visit before so I was very excited to experience it. Mike and Ruiqi both got ready in the attached farmhouse, and I quickly fell in love with so many features in it that made it feel both elegant and relaxed. After a beautiful and quiet first look, we took some photos of the bride and groom and their families.

The property has this beautiful raised and winding path that goes into the tree-filled ceremony space, and it was down this path that Ruiqi and Mike decided to walk hand in hand together. Surrounded by nature and the rustling leaves, I really enjoyed the serenity and simplicity of their ceremony. It truly felt personal and perfect for Mike and Ruiqi. Finally, it was time to celebrate, eat, and dance the night away.

Everyone who came together to make this wedding possible really felt like a family that day. From the venue’s beautiful grounds, to the amazing music; from the planning and decor, to some of the best food I’ve ever eaten at a wedding… this day was made even more magical with the wedding professionals (listed and linked below) who all made it happen.

Of course, none of us could have been there if it were not for Ruiqi and Mike meeting, falling in love, and creating a love story that all of us could celebrate. Congratulations, Mike and Ruiqi.
